Islamabad (Lord Media): The Power Division has introduced a new and simplified format for electricity bills across the country. This redesign, issued by distribution companies on the Ministry of Energy’s directive, aims to make the bills easier for consumers to understand.
According to a spokesperson for the Power Division, the new format has been developed with simplicity, transparency, and an improved user experience in mind. They stated that the bill format was completely revamped following consumer complaints to eliminate the complexities and unnecessary information of the old design.
Instead of the complexities of the old bills, the new format prominently lists the amount, due date, and electricity usage details, allowing consumers to grasp the complete billing situation at a glance. Officials noted that the new format also includes a QR code, providing consumers with instant access to additional information and digital services.
The spokesperson further mentioned that the creation of the new electricity bills considered suggestions from consumers and various stakeholders. The process of transparency, improved services, and reforms in the power sector will continue.
