North Carolina is home to thirty-seven snake species, with the copperhead being the most common venomous snake, which the German team encountered. Captain Joshua mentioned that players are now cautious, looking at the ground with every step to avoid snakes.
The Norwegian team has also been warned about snakes near their training ground. Norwegian midfielder Christian Thorsvedt expressed displeasure over the situation. The Swiss team has also been advised to remain cautious of snakes.
