KPK police to introduce satellite communication

Peshawar (Lord Media): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have decided to introduce a satellite communication system in remote areas. According to police officials, the system will ensure communication through satellites during emergencies when mobile and telephone services are disrupted.

The police authorities stated that the satellite communication will initially be launched in areas including Bannu and Lakki Marwat. A command and control center will also be established, with a special team of experts overseeing operations.

Police noted that operational teams in remote areas face communication challenges, which the satellite system aims to resolve. This will ensure timely access to incident sites during emergencies.

The modern communication system will enhance police emergency response capabilities. During disasters and crises, the alternative communication system will remain active, improving public safety and rescue operations.
