Islamabad (Lord Media): Former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser responded to Khawaja Asif’s statement in the National Assembly, clarifying that ISI officers were providing input on FATF-related bills. Qaiser explained that Asif had mentioned meetings with ISI at his home, which was actually the Speaker’s residence.
PTI leader Asad Qaiser further stated that he was facilitating between the government and the opposition on FATF bills, with ISI officers contributing input on anti-money laundering and FATF-related legislation.
The Defence Minister claimed that negotiations were held at former Speaker Asad Qaiser’s residence with individuals sent by General Faiz.
Asad Qaiser added that if Khawaja Asif feels burdened by his conscience, he should resign from the seat allegedly obtained through unfair means and contest elections again against Rehana Dar.
