Pakistan mediates Iran-US tensions: security sources

Islamabad (Lord Media): Pakistan has assumed the role of mediator in the complex tensions between Iran and the United States, aiming to ensure peace and stability, according to security sources.

Senior security officials informed journalists that failing to prevent this conflict could have led to severe consequences. They added that Pakistan has fulfilled all mediation requirements, and the world is gradually recognizing its efforts.

Security sources highlighted Pakistan’s distinct relationships with Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United States, and its attempts to promote peace within the Muslim community.

As of June 15, 2026, Pakistan conducted 32,092 intelligence-based operations, with 2,170 involving terrorist activities, according to security sources.

Security sources further mentioned that the BJP’s influence in occupied Kashmir limits freedom of expression, whereas Pakistan has always prioritized dialogue concerning the rights movement in Azad Kashmir.

It was also noted that 40% of the military personnel hail from Kashmir, and Pakistan’s stance on the Indus Waters Treaty remains clear.
