Changa Manga (Lord Media): Four children tragically drowned in a pond in the Veersingh Wala area of Changa Manga. According to Rescue 1122, the incident occurred when the children, aged between 9 and 11, were visiting their maternal grandparents from Toba Tek Singh during summer holidays.
Rescue officials reported that the bodies were retrieved from the pond shortly after receiving the alert. Local residents stated that the parents had gone to collect firewood in the forest when one child fell into the pond. In a bid to rescue him, the other three children also drowned.
The pond is reported to be 8 to 10 feet deep.
