The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a rain alert for most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, warning of potential landslides in northern and central areas. Landslides are predicted in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, and Kohistan, while strong winds, hailstorms, and lightning could damage crops and weak structures.

The Meteorological Department has also predicted thunderstorms with rain in Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Battagram. Strong winds and rain are expected in Kalam, Parachinar, Waziristan, and Swat.

According to meteorologists, western winds are entering the northern parts of the country and may persist until June 20, while moist winds from the Arabian Sea will also enter central and northern regions, activating the weather system.

In Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, dust storms, thunderstorms, and rain are expected from June 16 to 20. The PDMA has advised district administrations to take precautionary measures and prepare for emergencies, urging tourists to avoid unnecessary travel.
