Delhi (Lord Media): Indian cricketer Nitesh Kumar Reddy paused a live press conference after the match against Afghanistan to take a call from his mother. The young all-rounder apologized to journalists and promptly answered the call.
The incident occurred after the Indian team’s victory when Reddy was addressing the media. Upon receiving the call, he briefly conversed in Telugu and asked his mother to call back in five minutes.
The video of Nitesh Kumar Reddy’s innocent gesture went viral on social media. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also shared the video, stating, ‘A press conference can wait, but a mother’s call cannot.’
