Washington (Lord Media): U.S. President Donald Trump expressed regret over Israel’s attack on Beirut, stating that such actions should not have been taken. He appealed to both Israel and Hezbollah to cease their attacks immediately.
President Trump, on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’, mentioned that the Middle East is on the brink of a significant peace agreement that should not be disrupted.
He emphasized that while Israel has the right to defend itself, the attack it responded to was minor and did not cause significant damage.
According to Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera, the Israeli attack in Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiya resulted in at least three deaths, including Hezbollah leader Ali Al-Hajj, and injured 15 others.
President Trump expressed hope that a peace agreement between the U.S. and Iran is near, which would bring peace to the entire region, including Lebanon. He urged all parties to avoid actions that could undermine peace efforts.
