Islamabad (Lord Media): Information Minister Atta Tarar stated that history will remember Shehbaz Sharif’s pledge to prioritize saving the state over politics. He took charge of the government with the aim of stabilizing the economy.
During a National Assembly session, Tarar highlighted positive measures in the budget, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging them. He noted that salaried individuals have received significant relief, with no tax on salaries up to 50,000 rupees, and a 1% tax on salaries between 50,000 and 100,000 rupees.
The Information Minister mentioned that under FBR reforms, substantial relief has been provided to the nation, benefiting every citizen. He emphasized the establishment of a fair system to ensure that the tax burden does not fall on those who already pay taxes.
Tarar further stated that the housing sector received major relief in the budget, with tax reductions on 5 and 10 marla houses and plots. The Prime Minister’s special efforts will strengthen the housing sector, providing loans up to 10 million rupees under the ‘Apna Ghar Scheme’ for underprivileged groups.
