Lahore (Lord Media): The Punjab Food Authority, under the direction of DG Syed Musa Raza, has exposed a nefarious operation extracting oil from fat at Jagoki Bridge. During the operation, two pans, 104 empty cans, five drums, a pump, a generator, and two shovels were seized, and a case has been registered.
Investigations revealed that the suspects were preparing to extract oil from fat and offal, but there was no record of supply to any biodiesel company nor any agreement with a soap factory.
The Punjab Food Authority stated that further intelligence-based operations will be conducted to eliminate food fraud. The DG of the Food Authority emphasized that safe food is the right of every citizen and all resources are being utilized to ensure its protection.
