Islamabad (Lord Media): Advisor to the Interior, Rana Sanaullah, stated that only the Kashmir Assembly has the authority to alter refugee seats. Speaking to the media, he mentioned that elections are approaching in Azad Kashmir, and the elected representatives there can make decisions within constitutional limits.
He clarified that it is not administratively possible to increase or decrease the number of refugee seats. Rana Sanaullah noted that the Supreme Court of Azad Kashmir has already given its opinion on this matter, making any changes impossible.
Furthermore, he addressed the PTI’s stance, stating that their only aim is to meet with the PTI founder. Chief Minister Suhail Afridi did not discuss any meeting with the PTI founder in front of me.
Rana Sanaullah added that during the meeting, Suhail Afridi only talked about issues in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and public affairs.
