FBR sets 15.264 trillion U.S. dollars tax target

Islamabad (Lord Media): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced a tax target of 15.264 trillion U.S. dollars for the upcoming fiscal year. This represents an increase of 2.281 trillion U.S. dollars compared to the revised target of 12.983 trillion U.S. dollars for the current fiscal year.

The FBR estimates that 7.613 trillion U.S. dollars will be collected from direct taxes, with income tax expected to contribute 7.480 trillion U.S. dollars.

According to the documents, revenue from capital value tax is estimated at 26.58 billion U.S. dollars, workers welfare fund at 22.31 billion U.S. dollars, and workers profit fund at 83.58 billion U.S. dollars.

Indirect taxes are projected to bring in 7.651 trillion U.S. dollars, including 1.651 trillion U.S. dollars from customs duties, 4.092 trillion U.S. dollars from sales tax, and 1.073 trillion U.S. dollars from federal excise duty.
