US, Iran expected to sign deal at G7 meeting

Evian (Lord Media): A deal between the United States and Iran is expected to be signed on the sidelines of the G7 summit, according to sources from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The G7 leaders’ summit is being held in Evian, France, from June 15 to June 17.

A senior official from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that if the situation remains stable, the deal could be signed on June 14. Geneva has been proposed as the location for the agreement. Iran will be represented by Chief Negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The United States is expected to be represented by Vice President JD Vance and Special Envoy Steve Whitkov.

A high-level delegation from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs will also be present at the event. The United Kingdom and France plan to propose a strategy regarding the issue of mines in the Strait of Hormuz during the G7 meeting. Iran has denied allegations of laying mines.

The G7 summit will discuss the situation in the Middle East, geopolitical challenges, peace and security in Ukraine and Europe, international partnerships, economic growth, and artificial intelligence. Some non-G7 countries have also been invited to participate in the summit.
