Murree (Lord Media): A tourist van met with an accident in Murree, resulting in the deaths of 10 people. Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi reported that the incident occurred on the Murree Expressway at Khajut, where the van collided with a side wall due to overspeeding. Among the 23 passengers on board, 10 fatalities have been confirmed, while several others were injured and immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical aid.
The Deputy Commissioner further stated that the passengers in the van were from Multan and had embarked on their journey to Murree at 2 AM. Following the crash, the van’s engine caught fire, and the sliding door became locked.
According to the Motorway Police, 13 people were injured in the Murree Expressway accident and were promptly taken to the hospital for medical assistance. The police also mentioned that 10 children were among the passengers.
