Rawalpindi (Lord Media): A Pakistan Army Aviation MI-17 helicopter crashed near Muzaffarabad, resulting in the martyrdom of all personnel on board. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the helicopter went down due to a technical fault during take-off.
Rescue and recovery teams promptly arrived at the scene following the crash. The ISPR stated that a board of inquiry has been ordered to determine the exact technical reasons behind the accident.
The Chief of Defence Forces expressed sorrow over the incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed grief over the crash near Muzaffarabad and paid tribute to the martyred personnel.
