Relationship rumours surrounding South Indian superstar-turned-politician Joseph Vijay and actress Trisha Krishnan have once again gained momentum on social media following the Tamil Nadu chief minister’s swearing-in ceremony.
The popular Tamil and Telugu actress remained in the spotlight after attending Vijay’s oath-taking ceremony as the newly elected Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
According to Indian media reports, Trisha attended the ceremony alongside Vijay’s parents, drawing significant attention from fans and media alike.
A day later, the actress shared pictures from the event on her Instagram account, but it was the caption that sparked widespread discussion online.
“Love always roars louder and echoes further,” she wrote, prompting social media users to link the statement to ongoing speculation regarding her alleged relationship with Vijay.
The 43-year-old actress, considered among the highest-paid stars in South Indian cinema, attended the ceremony with her mother Uma Krishnan.
During Vijay’s address to the public after taking oath, Trisha appeared emotional while listening to his vision for the future of Tamil Nadu. Videos circulating online showed her smiling through tears as the audience applauded the new chief minister.
Another photograph that went viral on social media showed Trisha warmly embracing Vijay’s mother Shobha during the ceremony.
It is pertinent to mention that Vijay and Trisha have worked together in several successful films over the years. Rumours regarding their relationship have circulated in the past as well.
However, speculation intensified in 2025 after reports emerged that Vijay’s wife Sangeeta Sornalingam ended their 26-year marriage, allegedly accusing him of being involved with an actress. Notably, Sangeeta and the couple’s two children did not attend Sunday’s swearing-in ceremony.
A few days after reports of the separation surfaced, Vijay and Trisha were seen together at a wedding event in Chennai. Trisha was also reportedly present at Vijay’s residence on the day election results were announced, which coincided with her birthday.
