Spanish football giants FC Barcelona defeated arch-rivals Real Madrid 2-0 in a crucial El Clasico clash to secure their 29th La Liga title.
The victory at Camp Nou confirmed Barcelona as league champions with three matches still remaining in the season.
Under head coach Hansi Flick, Barcelona produced an outstanding campaign, collecting 91 points and opening up an unassailable 14-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid.
Barcelona suffered only four defeats throughout the league season.
The hosts made a dream start to the match when Marcus Rashford scored in the ninth minute with a superb free-kick to give Barcelona an early advantage.
Just nine minutes later, Barcelona doubled their lead through Ferran Torres, who converted a powerful finish after a clever backheel assist from Dani Olmo following a cross by Fermin Lopez.
Real Madrid attempted to fight back during the remainder of the match but failed to break through Barcelona’s solid defensive setup as the home side comfortably held on to secure the title-clinching victory.
