Pakistan ranks 16th globally in outsourcing talent index

Pakistan has secured the 16th position out of 193 countries in the Ataraxis 2026 Global Outsourcing Talent Index, Federal Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja said on Saturday.

She said Pakistan now falls within the top 9 percent of countries worldwide in terms of outsourcing talent potential, reflecting the country’s growing strength in the global digital economy.

According to her statement, Pakistan has outperformed several major economies, including China (37th), Vietnam (32nd), Colombia (31st), and even some European countries such as Germany (84th), France (73rd), Spain (49th), and the United Kingdom (29th).

She added that Pakistan has achieved a talent score of 80 out of 100 and ranks 8th globally on this specific metric, ahead of all European Union and Middle Eastern countries included in the index, as well as every African nation evaluated.

The minister said Pakistan’s tech ecosystem is growing at an average rate of nearly 20 percent annually, describing it as strong evidence of the country’s expanding digital capabilities and skilled workforce.

Officials say the ranking highlights Pakistan’s emerging role in global outsourcing markets, particularly in IT services, freelancing, and remote digital work sectors.
