Emerging Pakistani actor and singer Ashir Wajahat has addressed ongoing speculation about his relationship with young actress Areeka Haq, clarifying that the two share only a close friendship.
Speaking during a recent YouTube programme, Ashir Wajahat responded to social media rumors suggesting a romantic link between him and Areeka Haq. He noted that fans often like to see their favorite celebrities paired together in real life, which leads to such assumptions.
The actor said he does not view the trend negatively, describing it instead as a reflection of fans’ affection. However, he emphasized that there is no romantic involvement, adding that their bond is based purely on friendship.
Ashir Wajahat began his career at a young age with the film Karachi Se Aagay, produced by his parents Wajahat Rauf and Shazia Wajahat. He later gained recognition through his performance in the drama serial Pinjra and other projects.
Currently, he is drawing attention for his role “Sabak,” while his song Sadqay is also gaining significant popularity among young audiences.
