The 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League will observe “Pink Day” on Sunday to raise awareness about breast cancer, with players, officials and fans set to participate in the campaign.
According to details, the sixth double-header of the tournament will be played at the National Bank Stadium, where two matches are scheduled for the day.
In the first fixture, Hyderabad Kingsmen will face Rawalpindis, while the second match will see Karachi Kings take on Islamabad United.
As part of the awareness drive, all players and match officials will wear pink caps and pink ribbons, symbolising support for breast cancer awareness. Additionally, match stumps and on-screen graphics will also feature a special pink theme.
Members of the Pakistan women’s national cricket team, including captain Fatima Sana, along with Syeda Aroob Shah, Rameen Shamim and Muneeba Ali, have also been invited to the stadium to support the campaign.
The women cricketers will take part in pre-match warm-up training sessions alongside players from all four teams, highlighting unity in promoting the cause.
Pakistan has one of the highest rates of breast cancer in the region, and the campaign aims to emphasise early detection, timely medical check-ups and resilience in fighting the disease.
