Varun Dhawan faces backlash over alleged fake review controversy

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has come under controversy following the teaser release of his upcoming film “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Toh Hona Hai”.

The film, directed by veteran filmmaker David Dhawan known for delivering multiple box-office hits with stars like Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, and Amitabh Bachchan has recently completed shooting. The first-look teaser was released on Tuesday and quickly drew attention due to its unusual AI-generated introduction featuring children.

The teaser opens with a humorous conversation between two children discussing their parents in a light-hearted tone. It later transitions to the main cast, featuring Varun Dhawan alongside Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur in a love triangle.

However, the film has now landed in controversy after social media influencer Simran Bhatt accused Varun Dhawan of using staged promotional tactics and fake reviews.

Recounting an incident at Rajiv Chowk Metro station, the influencer claimed that she and her friend were approached and asked to give a scripted review of the film’s teaser. She alleged that two individuals stopped them and introduced the teaser, asking them to react publicly.

According to Bhatt, when she refused to give a fabricated review, she was repeatedly urged to watch the teaser and respond according to a prepared script.

Her claims triggered mixed reactions online, with internet users divided over the authenticity of the allegations, while some critics questioned promotional strategies linked to Varun Dhawan’s film.

Varun Dhawan also responded in the comments section of the video, accusing the influencer of seeking attention through likes and views, which further escalated the online exchange between the two sides.
