Peshawar Zalmi’s foreign players depart for national duty ahead of NZ series

Two key overseas players of Peshawar Zalmi have left Pakistan during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 to join their national side for upcoming international commitments.

According to details, Bangladesh cricketers Nahid Rana and Shoriful Islam departed for home to prepare for the home series against New Zealand.

Peshawar Zalmi, which remains unbeaten in the tournament so far, will miss the services of both bowlers who played a key role in the team’s performance.

In the match against Multan Sultans, Nahid Rana delivered an impressive spell, claiming two wickets for 24 runs in his four overs, while Shoriful Islam also maintained a tight bowling line.

It is pertinent to mention that the Bangladesh Cricket Board had earlier granted a one-day extension in the No Objection Certificates (NOCs) of both players on the request of Peshawar Zalmi and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), allowing them to feature in the match.

The duo is now expected to play a crucial role for Bangladesh in the upcoming One-Day International series against New Zealand.
