Miss Universe Pakistan 2025 titleholder Roma Riaz is set to attend the 78th Cannes International Film Festival, scheduled to take place in France from May 12 to May 23, 2026.
The annual festival, regarded as one of the most prestigious events in global cinema, will feature screenings of selected films from around the world alongside red carpet appearances by international celebrities and cultural figures.
Roma Riaz confirmed in a media interaction that she will walk the red carpet at Cannes and also host an Expedition Gala during the event. She said she considers the opportunity a matter of pride in representing Pakistan on a global cultural platform.
She is expected to appear in outfits designed by various international fashion designers during her festival appearances.
Originally from a Punjabi Pakistani Christian family, Riaz has recently gained national attention after being crowned Miss Universe Pakistan 2025. Her participation marks another appearance by a Pakistani beauty queen at Cannes, following Erica Robin, who made her debut at the festival in 2024.
The Cannes Film Festival remains a major international showcase for cinema, fashion, and global media visibility, drawing participants from across the entertainment industry.
