The fifth edition of the International League T20 (ILT20) will be held from November 22 to December 20, with organisers advancing the schedule to avoid a clash with other major T20 leagues.
According to details, the tournament has been brought forward compared to the previous season, which was staged across December and January. The move is aimed at ensuring greater player availability and maximising global viewership.
A total of 34 matches will be played during the event, including 30 league-stage fixtures and four playoff games.
The matches will be hosted across three venues in the UAE Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah with the final, as per tradition, scheduled to take place in Dubai.
The decision to revise the schedule has largely been influenced by the need to avoid overlapping with other prominent T20 competitions, including SA20, which is set to begin after January 10.
ILT20 Chief Executive David White expressed satisfaction over the success of the previous season, highlighting strong broadcast numbers, growing fan engagement and the participation of top international players as key indicators of the league’s rising stature.
Six teams will compete for the title this season: Desert Vipers, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates, Dubai Capitals, Sharjah Warriors and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.
