Sources from Iran has dismissed media reports claiming that an Iranian negotiating delegation has arrived in Islamabad for talks with U.S. officials, terming such assertions as unfounded.
Citing an informed source, the Mehr News Agency said claims circulating in some media outlets about the presence of an Iranian team in Pakistan’s capital are “completely false,” clarifying that no such development has taken place.
According to the report, the source emphasized that negotiations between Iran and United States remain suspended. The source added that talks will not resume until Washington fulfills its commitments related to a ceasefire in Lebanon.
The agency further reported that the continuation of attacks by what it described as the Israeli regime is a key obstacle to the resumption of diplomatic engagement, with Tehran linking the current deadlock directly to the situation in Lebanon.
