PSL set to become world’s top league, says Mohsin Naqvi

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi has expressed confidence that the Pakistan Super League will soon emerge as the world’s number one cricket league.

The remarks came during a meeting of the PCB Board of Governors chaired by Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore, where audited financial statements for the fiscal year 2024-25 were approved.

The board also gave approval to procedural rules in line with the ICC Anti-Corruption Code, reinforcing governance and transparency measures within the board’s operations.

During the session, members agreed to extend cooperation for the development of a cricket stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, reflecting growing international collaboration in cricket infrastructure.

The meeting further approved the re-demarcation and renaming of cricket zones in Lahore. The Board of Governors also paid tribute to Abdullah Khurram Niazi for his significant contributions to the promotion of domestic cricket.

The board expressed satisfaction over the record team auction for PSL 11, indicating strong investor confidence in the league.

Mohsin Naqvi said the PSL has evolved into an attractive platform for investment and reiterated that sustained efforts would continue to elevate its global standing.
