The Punjab Local Government Department has launched a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) e-Registration App in collaboration with NADRA, enabling citizens to register births, deaths, marriages, and divorces online.
Provincial Minister for Local Government, Zeeshan Rafiq, formally inaugurated the app, saying it will allow residents to complete registrations from the comfort of their homes. The system is linked with NADRA’s data network, ensuring that records are automatically updated in the national database.
He explained that a formal agreement between the Local Government Department and NADRA underpins the initiative. By registering life events such as births, deaths, marriages, and divorces through the app, authorities will collect accurate and timely data.
The minister added that the system will eventually be connected down to the union council level, allowing province-wide access and integration.
