Punjab Assembly member Shoaib Siddiqui of the Istehkam Pakistan Party has submitted a congratulatory resolution honoring Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
The resolution lauded Munir’s appointment as a historic milestone in Pakistan’s military history, emphasizing that the leadership has enhanced Pakistan’s prestige at the international level. It also highlighted that the new position strengthens the country’s borders and serves as a deterrent against adversaries, including India.
Siddiqui said the appointment marks a “new and golden chapter” in Pakistan’s defence history, and the nation has full confidence in the leadership of the Armed Forces. The resolution described the establishment of the CDF post as a key step in enhancing national defence and internal security, which underpins economic and social development.
The resolution also emphasized unity between national security institutions and the civilian government, stating that the Punjab Assembly fully trusts Field Marshal Munir’s leadership and wishes him success during his tenure.
