LAHORE (Lord Media): The Punjab Revenue Authority has imposed a ban on the issuance of unofficial receipts. According to the notification, all hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and marriage halls are now required to implement the Electronic Invoicing Management System (EIMS).
A spokesperson for the Punjab Revenue Authority stated that businesses failing to issue receipts under EIMS will face fines ranging from 400,000 rupees to 1 million rupees.
The spokesperson further mentioned that businesses repeatedly violating these regulations will have their operations sealed for up to one month.
