MOSCOW (Lord Media): Ukraine has launched drone attacks on the city of Nizhnekamsk in Russia’s Tatarstan region, resulting in the deaths of 12 people and injuries to several others. According to Russian state media, the attacks targeted industrial and civilian sites.
The city’s mayor, Radmir Belyaev, issued a statement on Telegram, confirming that unspecified industrial and civilian targets were hit in the attack. Russian media reported that the region’s oil refinery, one of Russia’s most advanced, was also damaged.
Unverified social media videos showed smoke rising above the oil refinery, though Reuters could not confirm these videos. The Taneco refinery, which has been previously targeted by Ukraine, produced 17 million tons of crude oil in 2024.
