ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have agreed to meet at the National Assembly Speaker’s office for negotiations. Minister of State Barrister Aqeel Malik extended the invitation to PTI during Geo News’ program Capital Talk.
PTI’s Shafqat Abbas Awan promptly accepted the invitation and made the program’s host, Hamid Mir, a witness to the agreement. Barrister Aqeel Malik assured PTI that he would contact Speaker Ayaz Sadiq to initiate the talks immediately.
Shafqat Abbas Awan stated that he, along with Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Raja Nasir Abbas, and PTI’s senior leadership, would arrive at the Speaker’s office or Committee Room No. 5.
Prime Minister’s offer was welcomed by PTI, and party chairman Barrister Gohar expressed in the National Assembly session that the reason for the delay in talks should be explained. A majority of PTI parliamentarians are in favor of negotiations.
