TEHRAN (Lord Media): Iran has clarified that there are currently no plans for any negotiations with the United States. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that Tehran’s focus remains on its security and defense.
According to Baghaei, there is no program under consideration for talks between Tehran and Washington, and Iran will uphold its international commitments only as long as the other party honors its promises.
The Iranian spokesperson further mentioned that the U.S. has not fulfilled its obligations under a temporary reconciliation agreement, prompting Iran to halt its responsibilities under the same agreement.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Baqer Qalibaf said that the U.S. aims to overthrow the Iranian regime, and Iran’s policy is based on national interests and security. He added that Iran does not seek war but is prepared for national security.
These statements come amid ongoing regional tensions and strained Iran-U.S. relations. The Iranian government has stated that any future agreement will depend on the other party’s adherence to commitments.
