TARBELA (Lord Media): Recent monsoon rains and floodwaters from upper districts have raised the water level in Tarbela Dam by 101 feet above the dead level. According to the dam administration, the water inflow continues to increase, with the current level at 1503.19 feet. The dam’s dead level is 1402 feet, and the full level is 1550 feet.
Today, the water inflow into Tarbela Dam was recorded at 199,000 cusecs, while the outflow was 158,100 cusecs. Sixteen power generation units are operational, with one unit currently shut down.
The power generation at Tarbela Dam stands at 4579 megawatts, nearing its total capacity of 4980 megawatts.
