ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Security agencies were mobilized after a missile was discovered during excavation in the jurisdiction of I-9 police station in the federal capital. According to sources, a missile-like object was found during digging at plot number 381, prompting the bomb disposal team to arrive at the scene.
The bomb disposal team conducted a detailed inspection of the missile and safely defused it after completing necessary procedures. Officials declared the area clear following the bomb disposal operation.
Further investigations are underway to determine how the missile ended up at the site and its nature, according to sources.
It is noteworthy that last January, an alleged mini-rocket attack was reported at the I-9 police station. Initially, the officer on duty mistook the loud explosion for a tire burst, delaying any immediate action. The following morning, an inspection of the police station revealed marks on the building’s wall, suggesting that a mini-rocket-like object had struck it.
