RAWALPINDI (Lord Media): A National Highway and Motorway Police sub-inspector, Javed Shinwari, was killed after being run over by a dumper near Kamra. CCTV footage shows the dumper deliberately hitting Shinwari while he was on duty, raising suspicions about the driver’s intent.
Following the incident, motorway police officers chased the dumper, apprehending a helper present at the scene. According to a motorway police spokesperson, Shinwari was immediately taken to THQ Hospital Hazro, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest the accident occurred due to the dumper driver’s negligence. The deceased, Javed Akbar, hailed from Mardan and is survived by his wife and five children. Inspector General of National Highways and Motorway Police, Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, expressed deep sorrow over the incident.
