Pakistan, US discuss expanding investment partnership

WASHINGTON (Lord Media): Pakistan’s Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh met with Benjamin Black, CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), to discuss enhancing bilateral partnerships and investments.

During the meeting, the Pakistani ambassador appreciated DFC’s interest in investing in Pakistan’s energy, infrastructure, minerals, IT, and port sectors. Both parties reviewed the progress of ongoing and potential projects and identified future priority areas.

On the occasion, Ambassador Rizwan presented a ‘Trivunda’ football, made in Pakistan for the FIFA World Cup, as a gift to the DFC CEO. He remarked that the selection of Pakistani football on the global stage is a matter of pride for the country.

DFC CEO Benjamin Black praised the quality of the ‘Trivunda’ and commended Pakistan’s industrial capabilities.

Both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening partnerships for Pakistan’s socio-economic development. The Pakistani ambassador stated that the Pakistan-U.S. economic partnership would ensure long-lasting relations between the two countries.
