KARACHI (Lord Media): The value of the U.S. dollar experienced a slight decrease in the interbank market, while it continued to rise for the fourth consecutive day in the open currency market.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the interbank market saw the dollar close at 278 rupees and one paisa after a one paisa decrease by the end of trading.
Meanwhile, the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan reported a four paisa increase in the open currency market, with the dollar being sold at 279 rupees and 68 paisas. Experts attributed the continuous rise in the open market to increased demand for the dollar.
