ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Senator Kamran Murtaza stated that Maulana Fazlur Rehman does not need to apologize, rather those who suggested forming militias in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should seek forgiveness.
Speaking to journalists, he emphasized that apologies are warranted for the governance failures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal responded to Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s remarks, stating that reducing the sacrifices of military personnel to mere salary compensation is unjust and inconsistent with Islamic teachings.
Ahsan Iqbal highlighted that the great sacrifices of martyrs safeguard the dignity, freedom, and honor of nations. He stressed the importance of respecting their sacrifices and keeping them above politics.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif also criticized Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s statement, asserting that linking the sacrifices of military personnel for the nation to their salaries is unfair.
