Pakistani minister meets FBI for security talks

WASHINGTON (Lord Media): Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with FBI Director Kash Patel in Washington to discuss enhancing cooperation in counter-terrorism, cybercrime, and security agencies.

Naqvi tweeted about the meeting on social media platform X, stating that both parties discussed the provision of advanced resources, technical support, and specialized training for cyber investigations.

The Interior Minister described the meeting with FBI Director Kash Patel as pleasant, with discussions on illegal immigration, counter-terrorism, and officer exchange programs.

According to the FBI, the aim of the cooperation is to curb the financing of terrorism and enhance the capacity for cybercrime investigations both in Pakistan and internationally.

FBI Director Kash Patel stated on social media that the partnership with Pakistan is significant, and the FBI values Pakistan’s cooperation in safeguarding American interests in the region. He also expressed hope for strengthening collaboration between the law enforcement agencies of both countries.

The meeting occurred as Pakistan and the U.S. are striving to expand cooperation against terrorism, cybercrime, intelligence sharing, and cross-border crimes. Naqvi’s visit is part of a series of high-level meetings with U.S. officials and participation in the UN COP 2026.
