Sindh CM blames federal policy for flour crisis

KARACHI (Lord Media): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has stated that the support price for flour was set following federal government directives, which led to the flour crisis. He explained that the lower support price resulted in reduced procurement.

Speaking to the media in Karachi, he said that wheat will be purchased from hoarders in accordance with the law, with a decision to buy at 3,000 rupees per maund.

The Chief Minister further mentioned that the Prime Minister is also holding meetings on the flour and wheat crisis, and the Sindh government should not regulate wheat procurement.

In response to a question, he revealed that a new port will be constructed at Keti Bandar in Sindh.

Murad Ali Shah highlighted that the country is facing a wave of terrorism, with Karachi being a target. He assured that the government is closely monitoring the situation in Karachi and will not allow terrorists to gain ground.

He added that detailed discussions have been held on the situation in Balochistan, affirming that the people there are loyal to Pakistan.
