Pakistan sees 40% rise in vehicle sales

ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Vehicle sales in Pakistan surged by 40%, according to data released by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA). The report indicates that 155,000 vehicles were sold in the fiscal year 2025-26, including cars, rickshaws, tractors, and motorcycles. Car sales in June rose by 13% to 15,378 units compared to May.

Truck and bus sales increased by 67% to 7,440 units in the last fiscal year. During the same period, jeep and pickup sales saw a 41% rise, reaching 50,814 units, while motorcycle and rickshaw sales grew by 30%, totaling 1,972,077 units.

Experts attribute the increase in vehicle sales to strong purchasing power, improved auto financing, and the introduction of new models. Industry sources also note that commercial vehicle sales have risen due to increased commercial activities.
