ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): An illegal medicine factory was discovered during a joint raid by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Ghauri Town, Islamabad. A large quantity of human and veterinary medicines, raw materials, and packaging materials were seized during the operation.
Two suspects were arrested, and the factory was sealed. Authorities stated that the unit was operating without registration and a license, producing medicines for both humans and animals.
During the raid, a significant amount of finished medicines, raw materials, and packaging supplies for human and veterinary drugs were confiscated. DRAP officials seized the entire stock, sealed the illegal factory, and initiated further investigations.
Medicines worth millions of rupees, including poultry drugs valued at up to 40,000 rupees each, were also seized.
