LOS ANGELES (Lord Media): French football star Kylian Mbappe achieved a remarkable feat by scoring a stunning goal against Morocco in the FIFA World Cup 2026 quarter-final, becoming the fastest player to score 20 goals in World Cup history.
The 27-year-old Mbappe completed 20 goals in just 20 World Cup matches, breaking the record previously held by Argentina’s Lionel Messi, who reached this milestone in 30 matches.
Mbappe accomplished this in three World Cup editions—2018, 2022, and 2026—and at the age of 27 years and 201 days, he became the youngest footballer to score 20 World Cup goals.
He has also become the player with the most goals, 12, in knockout matches.
Mbappe is the first player from France to directly contribute to 100 goals in international football, with 64 goals and 36 assists to his name.
