TEHRAN (Lord Media): Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has reached out to the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkiye, and Oman amid escalating tensions in the region. According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, discussions focused on recent U.S.-Iran tensions, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, and overall regional security.
Araghchi held separate conversations with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and Turkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. The talks emphasized diplomatic efforts to de-escalate recent regional developments.
All foreign ministers agreed on the necessity of effectively using diplomatic channels to prevent further tensions in the region, advocating for solutions through dialogue and political means.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi reiterated Iran’s readiness to defend its sovereignty, national security, and regional interests, while also committing to ongoing diplomatic efforts for regional peace and stability.
Meanwhile, the Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed that Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the current regional situation, ceasefire, and de-escalation possibilities with his Iranian counterpart. Analysts suggest these contacts highlight increased diplomatic activity due to security concerns in the Middle East and the Strait of Hormuz.
