South Africa U19 women’s team to arrive in Karachi on Friday

KARACHI: South Africa Women’s Under-19 cricket team will arrive in Karachi on Friday to participate in a five-match T20 series against Pakistan U19 women’s team ahead of the ACC Women’s U19 T20 Asia Cup and ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup.

The visiting team will be provided strict security arrangements and VIP protocol from Jinnah International Airport to the team hotel.
The five-match series will be played at the National Bank Stadium from July 14 to 24. Pakistan U19 women’s team will be led by Fiza Fayyaz, while South Africa will be captained by Niki van der Sors.

Both teams will take part in night training sessions from July 11 to 13. The first T20 match will be played on July 14, followed by the second on July 17, third on July 19, fourth on July 22 and the final match on July 24.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Women’s U19 fitness and skills camp will conclude on Thursday at Hanif Mohammad Regional Cricket Academy, National Bank Stadium.

A 20-player group participated in the camp, which started on July 1 under head coach and camp commandant Mohammad Masroor. A 17-member squad was selected during the camp for the upcoming series against South Africa.

The selected Pakistan squad includes captain Fiza Fayyaz, Alzoha Hamad, Aqsa Habib, Arisha Ansari, Bareera Saif, Hadiya Meena, Komal Khan, Mah Noor, Maham Nazakat, Mahnoor Zaib, Maimona Khalid, Rahma Syed, Royal Farhan, Rozina Akram, Shehar Bano, Zainab Khanam and Zofshan Ayaz
