3,000 gas cylinders swept into river after Maharashtra floods

MUMBAI (Lord Media): Torrential rains in India have led to flooding in Maharashtra, resulting in the collapse of a gas plant’s protective wall, causing thousands of cylinders to be swept into the river.

According to Indian media, monsoon rains have wreaked havoc across various states, submerging roads and low-lying areas and triggering landslides. In Maharashtra, the intense rainfall caused the gas plant’s protective wall to collapse, allowing floodwaters to enter the plant and wash away over 3,000 gas cylinders into the river.

Officials have warned that some of the cylinders might be filled with gas. Residents are urged to report any floating cylinders they find in the Patalganga River or nearby areas to the relevant authorities or the company immediately.
