Afghan-based terror groups remain threat to Pakistan, Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar stated that terrorist organizations based in Afghanistan continue to pose a threat to Pakistan’s security. During a joint press conference with Croatia’s Foreign Minister, Dar welcomed the Croatian delegation, highlighting the visit as a significant milestone in enhancing bilateral relations.

He emphasized the goodwill and strong mutual trust between Pakistan and Croatia, urging Croatia to benefit from Pakistan’s investor-friendly policies. The Deputy Prime Minister called for intensified global efforts to eradicate terrorism, stressing that Afghan-based groups should not be used against any country, especially Pakistan.

Dar also criticized India’s unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, labeling the use of water as a weapon a violation of international laws and agreements. He noted that Islamabad’s memorandum of understanding is a crucial step towards promoting regional peace.

Croatia’s Foreign Minister expressed that his visit to Pakistan would play a vital role in strengthening bilateral ties, which are founded on mutual respect and trust.
