PESHAWAR (Lord Media): Former Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has strongly criticized his government’s policies during a parliamentary group meeting. He expressed displeasure over the legislation to increase assembly members’ perks, stating that it has subjected the government to criticism.
Gandapur highlighted complaints from ministers and assembly members about substandard development work in their constituencies, along with objections regarding appointments and transfers.
He further pointed out the inappropriate procedures being followed in government payments, questioning who is issuing such orders and whose wishes are being fulfilled by passing these laws.
Regarding the budget session, he criticized the unwarranted salary increases for ministers and assembly members, arguing that it would attract public criticism.
Gandapur emphasized the need to avoid such decisions considering public poverty and unemployment, asserting that he cannot compromise on his party leader’s vision. He also noted that operations in the province are necessary for public safety.
