UN chief praises Pakistan’s peace efforts

NEW YORK (Lord Media): United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has commended Pakistan for its long-term contributions to global peace. During a meeting with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, regional and international issues were discussed.

The talks focused on Pakistan’s mediation efforts and its services for peacekeeping. Antonio Guterres expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts and thanked the country for its cooperation. Mohsin Naqvi stated that despite challenges, Pakistan has played a role in promoting peace and stability.

China also acknowledged Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. In a meeting with China’s Minister of State for Interior, Ling Xuefeng, Mohsin Naqvi pledged to strengthen counter-terrorism cooperation and strategic partnership.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka have agreed to enhance mutual cooperation in drug control and police training. This consensus was reached during a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Sri Lankan counterpart Ananda Wijepala in New York.
